As September comes to a close, we’re excited to bring you the latest update on fulfillment, Pods, and more.
Shipping Updates
From the very beginning, our team has been committed to building efficient and automated processes to keep things running smoothly. This month, our automated invoicing, IT integrations, and data visualization efforts have allowed us to focus on what truly matters: fulfilling your long-awaited contributions and orders, and expanding into more countries where we can deliver!
If you’ve been following our updates, you already know that we’ve begun shipping to countries within the European Union. In September, we’ve been working hard to expand our shipping to additional European countries—namely Switzerland, Norway, and the United Kingdom—which require extra steps and care. We’ve already fulfilled some orders to these countries, allowing us to fine-tune our processes based on early experiences.
We’re happy to share that shipping to Switzerland and Norway is expected to begin in just a few weeks, meaning backers and customers in those countries will soon receive their orders. As for the UK, our team is actively working on setting up smooth shipping procedures, though we’ll need a bit more time. We anticipate starting shipments to the UK by late October.
For regions outside of Europe, including the United States, our shipping timeline remains on track to begin in December.
We’re excited to announce that our first batch of accessories and spare parts has arrived! Thanks to the collaboration between our Operations and Marketing teams, they’re now fully in stock and ready for order for customers in Europe. Logistics Updates
To date, we’ve received three full containers of Shrooly devices. As always, the logistics for the Pods, which are perishable, require special attention. We’ve added quality control checkpoints and included eco-friendly ice packs in every package to maintain optimal conditions during shipping, ensuring your Pods arrive fresh and ready for a successful harvest.
We’ve also heard your feedback regarding the receipt of multiple tracking numbers for shipments containing multiple Pods. Moving forward, we will be consolidating orders with multiple Pods into a single package, with a few necessary exceptions. This will allow you to track your delivery more easily.
Additionally, we’re excited to announce the expansion of our Operations team with a dedicated logistics and fulfillment specialist, helping us streamline the fulfillment process even further.
Growing Pod Updates
We’re excited to share that over 1,000 Pods have already been sent to our backers and customers! The feedback has been very positive, with only a few reports of issues, which highlights the hard work that’s gone into getting things just right. That said, we’re always striving to improve and will continue working to ensure even more successful harvests for everyone.
One of the improvements we are working on is addressing the discoverability issues of the Pod QR codes. We’ve received feedback indicating that it is easy to confuse the QR codes on the Pod sleeve with the actual Pod QR codes. To resolve this, we will implement a new design for the Pod sleeves that makes locating the Pod QR codes more straightforward.
While we’re working to ensure that Pioppino will also be available in the coming months, we’re expanding our mushroom Pod selection with a new species! We’re in the final stages of fine-tuning and testing to ensure great yields, and we expect to release it later this year. Stay tuned for the big reveal on the type of mushroom we’ll be adding!
What’s Ahead?
As we move forward, our primary focus will be on ensuring smooth shipping to Switzerland, Norway, and the United Kingdom, while preparing to begin shipping to the United States in December as planned.
For those already growing mushrooms with Shrooly, we’re actively gathering feedback to understand what additional educational content would be most helpful. During the crowdfunding stage, many of you were interested in device-related information and features. Now, we see a growing interest in detailed information about the mushroom varieties you’re cultivating. In response, we’re shifting our focus to provide more comprehensive resources, so you can easily find everything you need to grow your mushrooms successfully.
We’re also excited to share that the new Pod claiming dashboard is live, and many of you have already used it to exchange your Pod credits for your preferred varieties. While we’re happy to see that several hundred orders have been completed, we’ve also heard your feedback that the process could be more streamlined. In October, we’ll be working on fine-tuning the Pod claiming system to make it even easier and more convenient for you to claim your Pods.

As we wrap up our September Update, we want to express our heartfelt thanks for your continued support, invaluable feedback, and patience. We’re thrilled that after such a long journey, our EU backers and customers are finally able to start growing mushrooms at home with Shrooly. That said, we know there’s still more work to do as we prepare to fulfill all remaining orders outside the EU, and we remain fully focused on achieving that goal.
