Dear Shrooly Backers,
We understand it’s been a while since our last update, and we apologize for the delay. Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been working hard on several processes, and we’re now thrilled to share a comprehensive update on what we’ve been up to.
We genuinely appreciate your patience and understanding as we keep you in the loop with our project’s advancements.
We’re excited to share that we’ve started shipping to most European countries, and some of you have already gotten your orders. According to our current timeline, we expect to finish shipping the majority of our European orders within the next few weeks. You can find more details about the shipping process further down.
Early Access Program Conclusion
We’ve wrapped up our Early Access Program, where a select group of customers had the opportunity to experience growing with Shrooly. We’ve published an article detailing our findings and the key developments we’re focusing on. You can read the full article here.
As we transition from launching Shrooly, our focus will shift from major product development news to enhancing features. To help you keep track of these improvements, we’ve moved our Feature Advancement Updates to the What’s New collection in our Help Center: Explore What’s New.
Since concluding the Early Access Program, we’ve published four updates, including app and firmware enhancements.
Growing Pod Updates
The Early Access Program (EAP) was invaluable, allowing us to gather critical feedback before launching our first batch of Pods. Thanks to this input, we’ve optimized packaging materials and improved user guidance. Additionally, we’ve conducted extensive testing on how the Pods perform in real-world conditions. Based on these insights, we made adjustments to the Pod formulation to enhance the overall user experience. We’re excited to share that the first batch of Pods has arrived at our fulfillment center and is ready for shipping.
We’ve also relocated our test farm facility to a new, dedicated location, separate from our office. This move was essential for providing precisely controlled environmental conditions, enabling us to conduct more accurate experiments and further optimize the quality of our Pods.
We’re initially launching in Europe with four strains: Yellow Oyster, Pink Oyster, Lion’s Mane, and Reishi. Testing for Pioppino Pods is still underway to make sure they meet our high-quality standards and maximize your success rate at home. We’re also planning to expand our Pod selection in the future.
Meanwhile, we’re preparing to start the Pod PVT process with our U.S. partner in the beginning of September. This will help us fine-tune Pod production and get ready for the U.S. launch as soon as possible.
Shipping Updates
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working on essential web development tasks to meet launch requirements, including building a system for you to easily claim your pre-paid Pod Credits. We acknowledge that the system isn’t perfect yet, but we’re actively working to eliminate the issues and create a flawless experience.
While international logistics routes have experienced significant capacity issues, leading to longer transit times than anticipated, we’re pleased to announce that the devices needed to fulfill all European orders and the initial batch of Pods have arrived at our fulfillment center.
To ensure the Pods arrive in top condition, they are stored in cooling containers until shipping.
We’ve also secured reliable and fast last-mile delivery partners.
Most European countries will be served by GLS, with a few covered by other trusted partners.
We’re excited to announce that our fulfillment processes have officially launched in Europe, and some of you have already received your orders. All orders within the European Union are now ready to be shipped. Fulfillment for countries outside the European Union requires additional shipping procedures. We are currently working on establishing these procedures for the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Norway. Once they are in place, we will be ready to fulfill orders to these countries as well.
The timeline for our U.S. and international customers, as outlined in our June Update, remains on track, with shipping expected to begin in December. We understand that some of you placed your orders or supported our campaign quite some time ago, and we appreciate your patience. We are confident that the wait will be worthwhile as we refine Shrooly based on the feedback received from our European customers. Thank you for your continued patience as we work to fulfill your orders.
What’s Ahead?
If your shipping address is in Europe, you have most likely already received an address confirmation email, where we asked you to verify your shipping details to make sure your order arrives at the correct address. If you have not yet received the address confirmation email, please anticipate receiving it soon.
Once you’ve confirmed your address, we’ll send another email giving you the opportunity to choose the specific types of mushroom Pods you’d like to receive. To guide you through the Pod Claiming process, we’ll soon prepare an article that you will find here.
After confirming your address and selecting your preferred Pods, we’ll proceed with fulfilling your order. You’ll receive confirmation emails and your invoice once your order has been handed over to fulfillment.
As we conclude our August Update, we want to sincerely thank you once again for your unwavering support and patience. We’re excited to be entering the stage where we begin shipping your orders and contributions — this is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. We can’t wait for you to start growing your mushrooms at home with Shrooly.
We appreciate you being such a vital part of the Shrooly Community. Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for sticking with us on this journey.
With Mush Love,
The Shrooly Team
