David began as a freelance videographer, creating visuals for brands, then shifted to marketing and founded an e-commerce advertising agency, driving DTC brands to 8-figure success. Sam started in graphic design, expanded into industrial design with a focus on branding and user experience, enhancing product development.
Adam Lipecz
Head of Product
He studied Mechatronics Engineering at BME before leaving to start his startup and now plays a pivotal role at Shrooly as the Head of Product. His passion for creating tangible products and exploring new technologies aligns perfectly with his current position, where he oversees the product organization. Adam’s motivation is fueled by his love for innovation and hands-on involvement in developing new products. His role allows him to blend his technical knowledge with his entrepreneurial spirit, driving the company’s product development forward.

Lead Mechanical Engineer
Barnabas is our Lead Mechanical Engineer, holding an MSc in Mechanical Engineering. He is the driving force behind our manufacturing process, working closely with Chinese manufacturers to ensure that Shrooly reaches the market. Barnabas is known for his problem-solving skills and resilience, and he enjoys taking on new challenges. When he’s not working, he loves to travel the world, seeking out new adventures. Outside work, he’s a passionate globe trekker, seeking new adventures.
Daniel Hatar
Lead Electrical Engineer
Graduating from Budapest University of Technology, he specialized in embedded software development. He honed his skills at Bosch, developing emergency braking systems for cars, and deepened his expertise with a Master’s in Electrical Engineering, focusing on AI applications. At Shrooly he oversees the firmware and hardware development, leveraging his extensive C/C++ experience in embedded environments.
Imre Lassu
Quality Lead Engineer
Imre Lassu, with a Mechanical Engineering MSc specialized in polymer technology, leads our cultivation team at Shrooly. His primary role involves building a manufacturing partner network for our pods across the EU and US. Additionally, he’s focused on scaling up our internal cultivation tests to enhance customer satisfaction and support the manufacturing team with quality control. His expertise in quality assurance allows him to develop a comprehensive quality control framework, ensuring Shrooly’s products consistently exceed customer expectations.
